Earthquake & fears
From chaos to weaving: the urgency of the new
In this collage series, torn magazine fragments accumulate like debris after an earthquake, forming landscapes saturated with symbols and visual ruins. Informational chaos manifests in shapeless overlays, where texts, bodies, and objects dissolve, suggesting the disintegration of references and the collapse of certainties. From this turmoil, however, something new emerges. The scraps reorganize into a composition that, from a distance, resembles an abstract painting, but up close, reveals scattered scenes and narratives. Like traces left after the tremor, the collages evoke the human impulse to rebuild— even among the rubble, there is always a search for order and beauty.
