Leozito Coelho was born in Belo Horizonte, has lived in Brasília, Paris, and Stockholm, and currently lives in São Paulo. He is a writer and artist. His work ranges from collages, photographs, digital assemblages , drawings, and paintings, always exploring the fusion and reappropriation of materials, both artistic and otherwise.
His artistic career began in 2016, with collages that debuted in the group show Espaço do Olhar, at the Tomie Ohtake Institute, under the guidance of Adrianne Gallinari. In 2017, he delved deeper into painting in an immersion with the artist Paulo Whitaker. In 2018, he held his first solo exhibition at Espaço Laje 795, where his collages drew attention for combining abstraction and visual narratives that reveal themselves in layers. Since then, he has dedicated himself to experiments that incorporate antiseptics, adhesive bandages, crayons, pastels, and paintings on different supports.
