Artiseptics

The series emerges from an unexpected alchemy of antiseptics, wax, and graphite. Methylene Blue, Iodine, and Gentian Violet—common pharmacy remedies—become pigments, tracing a path between healing and creation. In mourning, the artist transforms these antiseptics into a symbolic gesture. Just as they treat physical wounds, here they mend absences, applied to paper with a ritualistic delicacy. The drying, binding, and fading processes mirror the very act of healing. Over time, the stains evolve. Colors lose their intensity, lighten, and unveil new shapes—landscapes that emerge from the haze, like a rebirth. Impermanence becomes an essential part of each piece, a subtle dance between presence and dissolution.
